Hi,
I had received a Canadian PR in 2020. I completed the soft-landing at that time but never moved to Canada and continued to reside in the US. I recently received a US Green Card. I have short visit (5 days) planned to Canada. My Canadian PR is still valid and I still meet the residency obligations because only two years have passed since receiving the PR. The US Green Card allows me to enter Canada without eTA.
My question is - should I enter Canada using my PR card or US Green Card? Would entering using the PR card create issues when returning to the US because US CBP might infer abandonment of Green Card due to using the Canadian PR card?
Thanks.
