Hi All,

I have question regarding the tracking of applications CIC send back. Are those registered. Can we track them if so how? The reason is that my application is not in the CIC system which was received on Feb 20. Per CIC call agent they said that the fee is not yet allocated for processing. Which gives doubt that CIC might have return the applications but might post the wrong address and that is why I have not received that. Can I check with Canada post on this. Is that helpful. I have the following options now;

- Wait for a month more and will see if I receive AOR
- Assume that applications is return back and look for tracking where my applications is gone. I am not sure how I do that.
- Fresh apply and assume the first one is lost.

I will really appreciate seniors guidance on this matter. Reason is that if I have to wait for nothing then new bill might hit our application and then we have to one more year?

You are taking tension for no reason.
It takes upto 4 months to receive AOR.

If in case the application has been sent back, it should have been sent back by regular canada post and can't be tracked.

Expecting AOR for application sent on Feb 20 is too early. Usually average AOR times is 60-90 days.

I would suggest you to wait and if you cant wait then resubmit it and just remember, if the application was returned due to some reason and is lost on the way back to you and if you resubmit it again and there would be a high chance that it would be returned again because it was returned at first place.

Only you can do is to patiently wait. You should expect your AOR any time in April, most probably after end of April or in May and it can extend upto June.

I am not sure but the agent at Cic told me to send fresh application but I do not know for what reason it was returned. He said your application is not in our system at all.

This is the standard answer CIC agents give. You are worrying too much. Wait for atleast 2 months (ideally it should be between 2-4 months to receive AOR). Its just one month, how can you expect AOR in one month?
If you don't want to wait, then resubmit the application.
If you can wait, wait atleast 3 months. Maximum is 4 months.

3 to 4 months was allowed processing time. Now it is mostly a month for AOR. Per answering machines they have process all applications that is received before Feb 26. I cannot wait for 3 months as I know my applications is lost someweher other I should have atleast AOR.

You are not understanding my point. Usually AOR processing time is one month however, as I have read various posts in this forum.... people have received their AOR from any time from 1 month to 4 months.

If you can't wait, please go ahead and resubmit the application.

Because of Bill C-24 cut date is not released and it is expected to come into force at any date so I suggest to wait until the end of the next week and make a call again at the next Friday. If you get the same answer from them and they can not locate your file submit a new package and put a cover letter explains that you are submitting a new application because the CIC cannot find the application.
By the way, what courier did you use to send your application.
