Canada Post Strike?

Hi All,

I am waiting for my visitor visa extension letter, i heard that Canada Post would have a strike as early as Thursday night, I wonder how would that affect mt status? If i could not get any mails for the next few weeks, how could i know if the Immigration sent me the letter? Could I call CIC to get the results?
