Canada Post lost my CoPR. What shall I do?

After receiving the "Ready for Visa" email from the Case Processing Centre (Ottawa) of IRCC, I followed the instruction to send all required documents (i.e., a scanned copy of my passport, two photos, the completed Annex A, and a pre-paid return envelope without any address filled in) by Canada Post. The IRCC finally approved my PR very quickly. Then I kept tracking the return envelope everyday. I suppose it should be my CoPR. Last Thursday the tracking system showed "Delivered" but I have not received the mail up to now. I contacted Canada Post. After investigating my case, they said they can't locate the mail now. I then contacted the IRCC for advice and was told that they can't do anything until next Tuesday. Is there anyone here having got a similar experience and being kind enough to share a bit? What shall I do now? Just wait? I wonder how many days one is normally given for landing. I also wonder what instructions the IRCC normally provides in the CoPR. Now I even don't know whether it's because the IRCC put a wrong address on my return envelope or because the Canada Post simply delivered the mail to a wrong place.

You're going to have to wait until IRCC can do something (like issue a new one). Sadly, Canada Post losing mail is not uncommon.

Thank you for the reply. Do you have an idea how long one will wait before "IRCC can do something"?

I think Canada Post strange. They never lost those relatively less important mails. For example, they never lost my Internet bills. Actually those are just regular mails. For the CoPR, it has a tracking number, and actually they charge more for the tracking. It looks like Canada Post deliberately loses CoPR and, no matter how poor the service is and how high the risk of getting lost is, I still have to use Canada Post for the documents to be resent by IRCC. Then Canada Post can make more money.

Have you asked your neighbours if it has turned up there? Hopefully it might be a case of right street, wrong number.

Just a thought. Otherwise you will need to wait for CIC.

When was your tracker got activated? or when your file got approved? Same thing happen with me, my passport was lost, when I sent to Ottawa, they can't locate my passport, after 10 days, the passport was in Halifax, and finally delivered late to Ottawa. Just be in contact with Canada post, I am sure, you will receive your passport soon.

In my case, address was right everything was right, just check address and postal code with Canada post customer care and create a ticket with them.

Canada Post got back. The postman delivered my package to a strange place in my city (Edmonton) but fortunately the package was returned to Canada Post. Then Canada Post sent it back to Case Processing Centre (Ottawa)... I'm not sure why they can't just re-deliver the package to me. I've contacted the Case Processing Centre to see whether they've received the returned package and can deliver it again. Hope it'll work out.

It is the return mail that got lost by Canada Post, rather than the mail I had sent to the Case Processing Centre (Ottawa). The return mail is supposed to be my CoPR. Now the package was returned to Ottawa. I've contacted the Case Processing Centre to check whether they've received it and can deliver it again.
