Canada Post consistently showing out for delivery (Xpresspost)

Hello guys,

CIC asked me to send RCMP criminal record check report. I sent that document by Xpresspost on 5th May from Montreal to Ottawa.I checked the status of my mail through their tracking system, it is still showing "out for delivery".

I just wanted to check with all the people out here that if Canada Post status says "out for delivery", does it mean it reached CIC office. I called Canada Post and the representative told me that because CIC receives large volume mails, the letter is delivered but not yet assigned to right person.

Is there anyone who experienced the same problem and finally was able to hear the positive news.

OR do I need to resend the document.

Please share your experiences as I only have next week to resend it again.

It happened to me many times when sending an express package, just wait 24 hours and it will change to delivered. They are right about receiving many packages at the same time.

Thanks for the reply, but its more than 24 hrs already. It out for delivery since 2016/05/06 - 07:39

Sorry i misread the date, try calling the call centre and see if they can see it in the system already. Or send it again if it's not much of a hassle for you just to make sure.
Because i had the situation but after 24 hours i saw the change to deliverd with the signature.

Yes, it will cost me $75 to resend the very same document.
