Hi, everyone.

Currently, I am in Montreal with Work Permit and about to apply for Common-law sponsorship with my boyfriend (Permanent resident).
I wonder if I need the Canadian Police Certificate to apply for Common-law sponsorship.
On my document checklist, I found that 'If you have lived in Canada for the last six months, or Canada is the country where you have lived for most of your life since the age of 18, police certificates for Canada are not required at this time. IRCC will make a request for Canadian police certificate on your behalf.'.
I used to live in Montreal from 2016 to 2018. Then recently came back in March 2020.
It hasn't been 6 months since I came back to MTL.
Should I submit my Canadian Police Certificate?

1. Read the quote

I think PMM means 'no'. They will normally conduct a criminal check internally (behind the scenes). In some rare cases IRCC may ask you to go to the RCMP to complete a record check.

you are right, in my case they sent me a request letter to do it.
