Dear friends,

I applied online for tourist visa on April 9th and submited the same day. I recieved an email about an update on my file on April 10 but after that no any updates. ( I was not aware of Travel pause)

Any one know If the travel pause from April 9 to 29 will effect my TRV application processing time or not?

Also my friends father is going to Canada on may 1st. He has visitor visa from 2018. His son is Canadian citizen.

Any one know if he can travel to canada to visit his son on may 1st or he has to change his travel date as there are lots of restrictions for travelers to canada this days.

Thanks alot

It will likely take many weeks or months to get an answer regarding the TRV. Given that you have a sibling who claimed asylum you should be expecting a refusal. Your friend’s father’s flight is likely to get cancelled or he will have to go into quarantine for 14 days. He will have to show his quarantine plans or will have to enter government quarantine. These rules are fluid and could change by the time of his flight. It is really not a time to travel.

All applications are paused until 29th that's if they do not extend it so if I were you I wouldn't worry about it for the next days unless it's an essential travel then you can contact cic to process it
