Hi All,
Please be informed that, I am starting this thread for the people who have landed in Canada and seeking job in their respective fields.
We'll discuss about all HOW TO's here for getting a job as a new immigrants.
Lets join here.

Since day 1,
I enquired several consultancies services but they dont turn up. I think they dont entertain you on phone because most of the time consultant advisers are not available and your call transfer to voice-mail.

I thought of meeting few of them in person next week.
Will update here if I found something useful after visiting them.

Dharam, you being from 2174 NOC, can you please tell me which technology you got work experience in?

Have you tried online job search as well? Prepared resume as per Canada market along with cover letter?

My friend based in Toronto, Canada mentioned that the job market goes down from October to Feb... is that true?

Hi All,

I got the passport request few weeks back and still awaiting visa. I plan to land within 2 months after getting visa.
I applied under NOC 1112 (financial analyst) but also looking at other openings in financial services space where I have experience.

Are there landed immigrants or applicants in banking/financial services industry who can guide me on the job hunting process?
Also if you can share your personal experience it would be helpful.

Regards,
Sridhar

My choice of landing is Edmonton, Alberta. My NOC is 2131. Currently, I am working as Project Engineer-Civil. What is the scope of civil engineering professional in Edmonton. I have done PMP Certification also. What preference will be given to PMP Certified Engineer in Canada job market ??
