Haven't made a decision yet.I did not see any guarantees last year too.

Defer or study online?

How do you know about this? They are giving out decision to all the people who applied after 15th may, even the one's who applied 10days ago. High volume is no excuse when they are just not doing what they were supposed to do. All they're doing is picking up latest files and making new applicants simply lucky.
just type "Canada PPR" in YouTube and you can see for yourselfHow do you know about this?
For Non-SDS too? I have seen such cases, but they were all SDS applicants. They are giving out decision to all the people who applied after 15th may, even the one's who applied 10days ago. I have no hate towards IRCC but they should at least do justice first for the people who worked hard on their application and submitted sooner than the deadline.
I'm a Pakistani and reapplied on 28 june, so India's lockdown in not even an excuse for me. I have 2 days left (06 aug, conditional) to send uni my SP to join in mid aug or defer. Its our mistake that we arranged all the documents and filed our applications before the deadline they have given. And people who woke up late in June and July are the one's from whom we should learn. See they are getting PPR's/Rejections in few days...
SDS is processed in Ottawa.I really suspect the applications are processed in India.
Last year, most people received decision from OTTAWA CPC.
Its all politics. Read this (https://fortune.com/2021/07/21/delta-variant-covid-cases-states-where-its-most-prevalent/)I feel that the delay is because of the Delta variant from India. Maybe IRCC is thinking that this variant will effect the citizens of Canada. Which eventually processing the applications with delay.
IRCC is disaster… not only on processing SP, but almost in everything including spousal spornship, PR and citizenship applications. They have over millions pending applications from different streams. There are way too many people still waiting for their decisions. They already did a bulk reject few weeks back with exactly same reasons to most applicants. Will be interesting to see what they do tomorrow. Its really sad they could not fix their process in over a year and keep blaming the pandemic for everything.
