What exactly is the question, please? If you should apply via EE?
 
nevermind EE streams 61000 to 59000 is really insignificant change in any years. PNP & QSW basically unchanged. I don't get why people get frantic about less seats.

Look for CEC in this year's plan. And compare that to last year's plan.
 
Is this an announcement or proposal. Do you guys think there will be a brief hold before next EE draw?

Uhm, because there are not so many nominations from PNP & QSW ? Since those two programs' nominations are unchanged and the quota from CEC/FSW are reduced, can we be frantic now?
 
What happens to applicants who received ITA but yet to submit application? Will this affect their application processing/duration?

If you qualify FSW/FST/CEC, you are also likely to qualify one of PNP. And if you look at the big number overall economic class its reduced by 21000 over 171200. Just understands immigration target changes all the time due to thousands of factors and 12% decrease is not even worth a concern.

Qualified for pnp doesn't mean it will guarantee you a nomination. What we worry about is that the draw score will not drop under 450 this year. When the Liberal won the election and the announcement from ircc agents which said draw score might drop/back log was cleared. Applicants with crs lower than 450 were hoping for some good news, but with the current quota cut, I don't see how can they reduce the draw score at all.

For QSW, you need to learn French with at least high intermediate level, to get points. IETLS doesn't mean much. Therefore, if you don't know French, then good luck.
 
It is required but not mandatory, the regular processing time for QSW is 24 months which is what sucks, again the reality is people willing to learn french has limited options while they are on TFW category. Its like chicken and egg thing you need to know french to get residency and you need residency to get admission in french learning institutions.

Okay, so I misunderstood the original report.
This is... incredibly bad news, actually. Wasn't the point of EE to avoid backlogs like these, which would restrict economic stream entries going forward?
