Hi Senior members,

Thank you for reading my post.

I plan to apply for Canada immigration (PR) through 'Express Entry'.
My back ground is: 14 years of IT experience both in INDIA and USA.
4 years Bachelors degree. (Age: 38)
Spouse: Masters (18 yrs study), 6 years exp in USA , Age: 34
Planning to take IELTS test in May.

1. Which option will have higher chances of getting 'Invitation' (and eventually PR).
Based on the answer I might ask couple more.

Looks good, just take your IELTS and have ECA done and apply FSW-EE.

Your H1B work visa in USA should have nothing to do with your PR application in Canada though.

Thank you for the reply.

What is ECA?

Also, do I need to get the 'education evaluations' done?
ECA is 'education evaluations'. You'll need it if your degree isn't from Canada

What they said. Education evaluation, IELTS, and register in the job bank in hopes of getting an acceptable job offer supported by LMIA (a document your employer applies for basically saying they can't find a Canadian to do your job).

On the front page of Canadavisa.com, which these boards are a part of, there is a small blurb saying that you do get special attention if you have worked or studied in the US or Canada. You can find it easily if you look at the home page. That isn't reflected in any criteria or points, so I don't know how it applies, but the immigration lawyer whose site this is seems to think it does matter.
