Canada Immigration 2014 FSW - Without Spouse's Passport

Dear All,

I have below query:

I have done Master of Computer Application. I am able eligible for Canada Immigration 2014. I am main applicant and my wife will accompany me as Spouse. My Wife passport is not with us and it is under reissue and it might take 2-3 months.

I have met many Visa Consultants and they advised two possibilities that

1) I can apply for Canada FSW as main application and can mention that my spouse's passport is under Reissue. CIC will accept this my application and later I can submit my wife's passport. Is it true that CIC will accept my application without spouse's passport details ?

2) Second possibility is that I score individual 69 points without my wife's IELTS points. So, I can apply for Canada Immigration without my spouse. When we have passport of my wife, I can add my wife as my spouse in Immigration process. Is true that CIC allow to add Spouse later during Immigration Process ? Please advise.

I believe without your wife passport the application will consider as incomplete. So why to take the risk? Better apply when you have everything in hand for your own safety.

I wish you will get the PR soon.. I am also in the race. So when u reach find out a good accomodation there and for me also on reaching there.. lol

You can't exlcude your wife from the application and add her later. You must mention that you're married in your original application and list your wife - otherwise you're committing misrepresentation (lying in your application).

I have no idea if CIC will accept your application without your wife's passport.

he can show his wife as non accompanying member.... he will pay fee for him self only...... i have seen many cases where principal applicant added his/spouse after PER.....

Thank you for your response.

One option is I can show my wife as non accompanying member. In this case, If I want to add my wife during Immigration process (before I get visa) as my dependent then Does CIC allow to add spouse during immigration process ?

Second option is that I can apply for FSW 2014 with my wife and show that her passport has been applied for reissue and will send copy immediately once it is received.

Please suggest which option I should follow to apply for FSW 2014.

If I wait for my wife passport then It might fill up the cap. Then I will not be able to apply for immigration this year. I am very confused. Please guide me.

You still have to provide a copy of the passport if your spouse is non-accompanying.

Can I provide document explaining reason for not providing passport and notarized copy of old passport (which might be cancelled) ? In this case, Will CIC accept my application ?

Adaptibility points for spouse IELTS without applying her visa

Hello frnds,

I'm applying for fswp 2014 and already secured 66 points and the same month I'm getting married.
So my question is :

1) Can I ask my wife to take ielts so I can gain 5 points and apply for it. being newly married won't be any problem ?
2) Do I need to apply for my wife's visa also if I'm taking 5 points for adaptability or I can apply for her visa later on once i receive mine ?

Please advise me experts.... really so confused......

I wanted to ask, does my wife has to qualify for fswp also like getting points , credential evaluation, PCC, NOC eligible occupations code eligibility and all..... or she can just come with me as my dependent ? and what wud be the extra expenses of her for the whole visa process ?

and what wud be the extra expenses of her for the whole visa process ?-Processing fee C$550,Landing Fee-C$490,Cost of medicals and Others(travel document(Passport),If you want to get extra 5 point,she must write IELTS(General training) but this is not mandatory once you can score 67/100,other miscellaneous expenses)
