Hi, I believe my situation is not limited to Hong Kong Visa office so I am creating a new topic.

Question: Does anyone know if police stations in Canada certify fingerprints which include four fingers of both hands and individual fingers? Has anyone requested something similar before?
It is not called a criminal record, so I am not sure what document to request at the police station.
I cannot find details online about certifying fingerprints from Canadian police station/RCMP websites either.

Background: Hong Kong Visa Office will require applicant born in Hong Kong to submit Hong Kong Police certificate, which requires the applicant to first obtain sets of fingerprints as part of the application. Details here: http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/11_useful_info/cert_no_crime.html#oversea
e) A full set of his or her fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized police or law enforcement agency where he or she presently resides. A full set of fingerprints should include the impression of each of his or her fingers, the plain impression of the four fingers of his or her left and right hand taken simultaneously, and the plain impressions of thumbs.

I am asking because when the applicant requested the RCMP fingerprints for PR immigration application, the sheet only showed his right & left thumb and index, which is ok for a police certificate from Canada, but it is not what the Hong Kong's police department wants. They want fingerprints of all fingers.

Thanks!!

I know this isn't for Hong Kong specifically, but US stipulations also require full set of finger prints and when directed to the FBI site, they actually have a Finger Print card for full set that you can download and take to the police station for them to complete as required.

Perhaps Hong Kong police stations host a similar card you can download and present to a Canadian officer to complete?

Thanks for replying. There is this that I found http://www.reliabilityscreening.com/downloads/RCMP_GRC_C-216C_Form.pdf although dated back to 2012. That's for applying for fingerprints check I think. Not sure if they could issue the certified result to me with all those prints.

I remember when I did the fingerprints at RCMP, they rolls all my fingertips at an electronic machine (for analysis), but the sheet of result does not have all my fingerprints, just 4 (left right thumb and index) prints.
