Canada Federal Skilled Worker immigration for 2014

Hi All,

Canada Federal Skilled Workers Quota for this year 2014 were opened on 1st of May 2014, it’s almost three months ...,

Is this is the correct time for me to apply Immigration to Canada?

I heard from a consultancy that nearly 150 applications were already accepted by CIC for the occupations related to my profession (software engineer •2173 •2174 •2171) by this time,

If I apply now approximately it takes two to three months for Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) , next steps takes around 6-8 months if I am correct.
Is there any possibility for the quote to be filled in these 6-8 months mean time ?

as we know only 1000 application will be accepted for each Occupation, base on your experiences could you suggest me whether this is the right time to apply or not.

Your questions are very vague and I am not surprised since a lot of the credit for that goes to your consultant(s).

First question to you is - What is your NOC Code that you are looking to apply for ? Normally this would be either one of the following 3 NOCs - 2174 or 2173 or 2171. There can be more than one NOCs but we shall not get into complications for now unless needed.

Secondly - I am not sure how long ECA takes these days but I am sure it does not stretch as far as 3 months provided your educational documents are solid. I "think" this stretches only as much as 6 weeks (worst case) but you can confirm this from the WES Timeline.

After the above 2 - The 'Next Step' involves a lot many things so you need to be a little more specific as to what you are referring to.

Make the questions a little more specific and elaborate for us to help you out.

i want to know is that can we apply more than one category (NOC) for immigration process. .. coz if one of the category quota is complete then we can go for another...

No - you can't apply to more than one category. You have to pick one NOC.

Again - which NOC are you looking to apply for?

In 1 application yoh can apply for only 1 NOC.
