Hi All,

I started working on my PGWP in 02/2014 i know its not one year yet but surprisingly system says i am eligible for CEC but doesnt give any work experience points. I tried to change my startin date to 01/2014 but still no additional points.

I have seen on the spreadsheets many people getting points for canada experience. Please if any body can help me out in finding if i am doing anything wrong or not

How many hours per week did you put in? I'm just thinking that the system may count it by the number of hours and may consider you for CEC if you meet 1560 hours regardless of the length being less than 12 months. And if that's the case then the system has a glitch!

Im also not getting points for my 1 year of Canadian work experience in NOC B dated Jan 05 to Jan 06 working 35 hours per week whereas CRS tool is giving me the points. What coukd be the reason? It significantly reduced my points.

Just a guess, but it appears that if you put down less than "40 hours" per week, it might not give points.

No, that is incorrect.

1. Full time job per cic is at least 30 hours per week

2. I have inputed 37.5 h/w, and got the points I should for the experience

I think in the Gazette it mentioned it needs to be 1 year continuous experiences for the Canadian Experiences points. I'm not sure how I should interpret it but that's what it reads.

There are some issues with that tool it is not calculating properly.

Eg: if you have 16 months experience with some gap in middle system is not calculating.

if u worked from jan 2013 to nov 2013 and apirl 2014 to till date if u entered in this way system not calculating points for canada experience
