The system doesn't need to fill in the exact date, just need year and month. Also, i am not sure if my new job is different job title but same NOC code, will it also be allowed to claim the points?
I believe the system sees the first job end and second job starts at the same month, it will consider it be continuous (Someone may correct me on that)

The trouble is when an officer look at your file and notices a gap of 2 days, is that going to cause him/her to think it's discontinued and discredit the points? How about 2 weeks (of the same month)?

Or otherwise, if sb were to end the first job in the last day of the month, then start the next day (first day of another month), In the EE forms it has to be input as 2 separate months, but in reality it's continuous. Whether the system handles these exception, I don't know.

i had same problem. i finished my 1st job in december and start second in january. that is what i put in profile and i got points for it. i have like 15 days gap in between but since there was no way to put particular date so i hope i didnt misrepresent myself.
i m trying to find answers for it.

for my case, the gap is in the same month, will the system give the points for that? Will it matter for changing job title but not Noc code.
so confused, how could we find the definition for ontinuous one year experience? :-[

i m not sure. i would suggest just put as it is. since its just months and years in profile, no dates. make sure u make up 52 weeks with minimum hours requirement if have few days gaps like i did.
i hope someone who has received ITA with same problem receive their positive results and let us know.

If my NZ work exp is like this:

Sep 2012 - July (15th) 2013 ---> Employer A
July (16th) 2013- January 2015 ----> Employer B

Can that be added up for 2 years to get points for both EE and FSW Huh?

The EE forms asks only for calendar months, that's what you put in. You can't control what to do with your points. So for sure you didn't misrepresented yourself. At worst, the officer thinks it's a gap and discredit your points and cancels your ITA.

There is one more option between "Accepted for PR" and "Misrepresentation", called "Rejected" meaning reject and no further investigation. You are in trouble for misrepresentation if you deliberately use fake documents trying to hide some facts to CIC.

Re: Do CRS points get updated

Please can someone help me. When I filled out my EE profile I had only been working for one Year. I am now about to reach two years this month working full time, will this now increase my points on the system? Thnx

Ya i agree with u they might decredit points but if tht is the case than lots ppl will be rejected solely for tht reason. I have put extra enough time tht i missed inbetween two jobs with second job before i created profile so it may not be the problem.
I m sure CIC is well aware of it and they design system by month and year so it might not be the issue.
Lets see if someone will post positive or negative result if they had same issue..

create a profile and put ur experience as it is and find out..but i think in order to claim points either job experience has to be atleast 1 year continuous.

For your case, are your job titles same and under same NOC code? Do u know if the job title changed, but under same NOC code, it will also claim the point? Btw, did you get the points for Skill transferability factor(which is combination points for education & 1 year education)?
