Hi,

I have a Total 1+ yrs of Canadian Work Experience with NOC 2283 always i.e,

1. Aug 2011 to April 2012
2. Nov 2014 to till date

But when I have created my express entry profile it is showing points for my Canadian work experience as zero. I have submitted my profile today. Does the CIC will review the profile and update the points. How does it work. Kindly help.

15. (3)

(b) consists of continuous full-time work experience or the full-time equivalent for part-time work experience;

Because it's not continuous and neither period is 1 year+, it's not counted as 1 year Canadian experience under CRS points. CEC allows non-continuous experiences though, so you are eligible in CEC and allowed into the pool

But I have completed 1 yr in last 10 yrs. I think the experience should be counted for points calculation but not for CEC category.

So EE requires continuous ?

If my NZ work exp is like this:

Sep 2012 - July (15th) 2013 ---> Employer A
July (16th) 2013- January 2015 ----> Employer B

Can that be added up for 2 years to get points for both EE and FSW ????

Because it has to be from past 3 years. So it means experience mention in point A doesn't count as it is past 3 years.

Your experience should be from April 2012 (As April 2012 - March 2015 makes 3 years) to be considered under CEC.

It can be either you language requirement is not meeting or can be issue with POF.

It doesn't matter whether you are applying in FSW or CEC. CRS system common to all 3 classes (FSW/FST/CEC) and the continuous 1 year rule mentioned in 15. (3) (b) applies to everyone in EE pool.

Plz if you´re going to give advice make sure the statement is true , under CEC it does not have to be "CONTINUOUS" like FSW, yes you do need at least one year (or the equivalent part time) in the three years before applying.

Hi Goku,

I have overall 9+ yrs of experience out of which 1 yr is the Canadian Experience.

1. We are family of 3 and I have given proof of fund 25000
2. I have my ielts score R-6.5,L-6.5,W-6 and S-7.5

I am really not knowing why my points are not getting included for 1 yr Canadian Experience.

I've said, CEC & FSW doesn't require continuous Canadian experiences to be eligible. This determines whether you can be allowed into the EE pool. They have different other requirements

After people got into the pool, the CRS system awards everyone a score. This CRS system DOES require continuous 1 year for Canadian experiences. [Refer to 15 (3) (b)] And the same rule applies to everyone in EE pool

That's why there are people eligible in CEC and got into the pool (meaning they have 1 year experiences) but not being awarded 40 points for it.

can we change the employer (difference job title, same NOC code) during this one year? No gap between two works. The last day of this first job is Friday, and start new job on next Monday.

Personally I don't know, I can't find any lines in Gazette that directly points to this. So I suppose (from the meanings of words), that situation should be continuous. But then I've seen people here complaining not being awarded points. So I'm not sure.

The point needs to be clarified is how much of a gap is a gap. Do you have to start another job the next calendar day? Leaving a job on Friday then start another one on next Monday is perfectly continuous to me, but the system might see 2 calendar days gap and thinks it's non-continuous.

The system doesn't need to fill in the exact date, just need year and month. Also, i am not sure if my new job is different job title but same NOC code, will it also be allowed to claim the points?
