I applied open work permit for Canada. I applied it last month on 26th April 2018. Today i got my passport without Stamping along with a slip in which they mentioned the information will be sent through email.

I did not get any refusal reason or letter.. What decision should i consider? Is it approval or refusal. If its refused then how can i know the reason????? Please suggest...

I am very disappointed...

Thanks

How did you qualify for an OWP? Is your spouse in Canada? You can't just apply for an OWP because you want to work in Canada.

They now send them via email. Don't have a good reason why they don't do both.
I just sent them mail regarding my issue.. I read many posts regarding this people are facing such this kind of bulshits. Embassy should reply in well manner..

Thanks

What issue? Embassies get tons of emails so anticipate that it will take a while for a response. You should receive the email about rejection soon. There is no guarantee of an SOWP when a spouse is studying in Canada.

One of my friend recent got approval for the same. His wife is also studying in Canada and she is good friend of my wife...

It is of course possible to get SOWP when spouse is studying in Canada but it says you MAY APPLY and not you will receive an SOWP. People also get rejected. You will have to see why you gOt rejected and whether it is something you can easily correct before you reapply.

If i may ask Canuck78, can my spouse apply later for a SOWP from outside Canada after I have already landed in Canada on my WP or do we have to do it together when I apply for my WP? Furthermore, can my kids also apply for SPs with reference to my WP while I am already in Canada or it needs to be done on the initial stage when I applied for my WP?

No both can be done when you arrive in Canada. Depending on the province and age of the kids they can apply for TRVs or SPs. Have you received your SP yet? Yet again no guarantee that your family can stay with you in Canada while you are a student.

I had applied for a Work Permit under the AIPP and it was approved, my visa and LOI were also issued. I haven't left for Canada yet, that is why I was asking whether it is possible apply for my wife's SOWP while I am still here and my kids' SPs as well, or maybe i am supposed to land first and then apply. Also would they need POF if they are applying under my permit ?

Sorry if i confused you Canuck78. My wife is not studying in Canada, I am the one who is supposed to go and start work on a WP issued under the AIPP. Hence my wife needs a SOWP while kids need SPs. So i was asking whether I should apply for these before or after landing in Canada?
