Hi ,

I applied for my citizenhsip 14 months (in 2011) and the status says we started processing your applications on april 24. But my friend applied in DEC 2011 and she rec a letter for Test.

I did not understand why my application is still in process or she rec a letter for her test.

below is the Status

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 11, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 11, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on April 24, 2012.

Is there any kind of problem with my application or what else i dont know.

Can some one help me .

Hi,

Mak sure you stay in touch with them as they need to see if you are interested or not. You are always welcome to fax them a request as they are nice and will reply you if there are any issues with your case depending on the office you have applied. It is important that you stay in touch with them either thru fax request or make an appointment if you are allowed to go and meet in person. Good luck.

Now a days the processing time is 21 months.so just wait. In which city did u apply for citizenship ?? My timeline is almost the same as yours, still did not get any test call.

Its a case to case basis.Location also play a big factor.Late Nov or early Dec you might hear from CIC.(fingers cross)
