Hi guys, I am writing here hoping smn might help me.
To make the long story short, I am a newly landed PR my husband is Canadian and our 2 kids are Canadian as well.We have lived in Ontario since 2014. I have landed in February in June we have applied for CCB my husband being the primary caregiver as we asked for backpay. We have provided all the documents from doctors, schools, etc copy of our house tax and more as CRA has asked for them.We also did our taxes on time after all that wait I came to see today that the processing of my husbands Canada Child Benefit application has been cancelled ???!!!!! Has any of you been in such a situation, I will be calling them tmrw but I am on the verge of a heart attack, seriously. I even started considering calling Ombudsman office...

Did they give you a reason for the cancellation? Normally, any denial or rejection for a govt benefit comes with a brief explanation for the decision.

No, there is only information that the benefit application has been cancelled . It comes as a shock to me since we meet all elligibiliy requierments including income , residence etc.

I called them they said we do not meet residency requirements for back pay, i have attached house taxes form the past 4 yrs, bills, utilities, letter from school , my kids doctor, recreational bills (swimming, dance classes, karate etc)my ont photo card, our ontario health insurance copies and developmental childrens centre corespondence from the past 4 yrs to prove we continuosly live here and along with a letter sent it again.well see what they say now.
