CANADA AND AUSTRALIA PR

HI

I got Aussie pr on feb 2015 now also got invitation in Canada express entry program. what to do now.

Can I have both Canada and aus pr. Going for Canada pr i have to declare about my Australian pr will this impact my pr in Australia or application in Canada.

There is no law against holding 2 PRs but other members have experienced difficulties maintaining both when they were crossing borders and more difficulties when applying for citizenship.

One member had a Canadian and US PRs and the US border had him give up one. I dont remember the exact story.

I can assure you though when applying for citizenship in Canada, your status in Australia will be looked at very closely and may very well be ground for denying you citizenship.

So my advice to you is keep Australian or cancel it if/when you get Canadian.

Why should he even BOTHER with the express entry process if he has already got Australian PR, seeing that he may have to give up on one eventually? "A bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush".
