Yes You can! ( I used to work for elections)

You just have to register at the poll. They will not ask you the proof of citizenship. That is why some non-citizens even go and vote! but if they find out you were not citizen and voted, you can get fine and prison time! Anyway, You can vote. Take pieces of ID with your name and address and go to your designated polling station! :) Lucky you!

Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts! I am obviously excited. For me this is not just a simple voting, it's a means that I can take revenge from this conservative gvt:)))))))) anyways I always had passion to vote even when I was in my hometown and here I also like to vote as I believe every single ballot is counted and do make changes. Time to pull conservatives down :-\ ??? :p

A friend of mine in Calgary received his voter information card a week after he made the citizenship test (September 17), so I believe we can vote once our status change to "Decision made".

I believe your friend has gotten voter information card by error. Your friend is not Canadian until after the oath is made and certificate received in hand.

If your friend votes in this election before becoming Canadian, he/she has committed voter election fraud.

Today I got an email from Election Canada, and they did confirm that I can vote after ceremony.
