I see threads and replies here about people getting ready to travel to Canada now that the restrictions have been lifted but can you travel even if your classes are being conducted online? I think only very few programs across uni's and colleges are being delivered in a hybrid mode and none in complete face-to-face mode right now if I'm not wrong.

Edit: a correction

Very ambiguous question.... " can you travel even if your classes aren't being conducted online?" this contradicts the title of the thread. Plus there are numerous threads in this forum that have addressed this question and some have even included links to official govt. websites.

I think he meant "can you travel if your classes are online? "

Oh my bad. I'll correct it. But my question is simple - I've got my visa approved. My class is online. Can i still travel to canada or does my class needs to be first conducted in offline mode for me to travel?

As long as your school in DLI list and you have a valid travel&study permit you can travel to Canada. Even your classes are online.

my university suggests bringing two types of docs: no matter online or offline

Main docs:
  • Passport
  • Temporary resident visa (TRV) in your passport, or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) number approval for non-United States citizens
  • Letter of Introduction for your study permit issued to you by a Canadian visa office (new students only)
  • 14-day quarantine plan
better to bring docs:

Proof of tuition payment from Quest
Proof of sufficient funds for at least your first year
Letter of acceptance
Proof of enrolment from The Centre if you studied online before entering
Address of where you'll be living long-term
Copy of your English language proficiency scores
Official academic transcripts from past education
Other government-issued photo identification cards from your country
Official English or French translations of birth and/or marriage certificates if you're coming to Canada with your spouse/common-law partner and/or dependent children
