Does anyone know?

I've "landed" before while waiting for a work-visa to arrive in the mail and border services could print it out on the spot (even though it was through an outland embassy)

Can they do the same with a COPR (i have received confirmation that it is in the mail)

Kind regards,

You need the COPR

Damnit!

My Visa expires tomorrow and it hasn't arrived yet!

I guess i'll send in some random paperwork to get implied status for 2 days

Are u on a visitor extension? Are u close to a US border so u can exit and re-entre?

Yes indeed. COPR is an official document. You receive 2 copies... 1 has your photograph attached to it and is used to apply for your PR card which is mailed to you later, and the 2nd copy is yours to keep. You must keep this forever since as far as i know it's the only legal document that will prove the date you landed as a PR.

Thanks for the info.

I am on a work visa, so i won't leave the country until i get it.

I have send in a paper file to CIC just to be on official implied status.
I'll just cancel it once i receive it.
