Don't know whether it is technically possible or not , but if one has come so far, is taking that chance worth it ?

Yes - you can be refused landing for insufficient POF. It doesn't happen often - but it does happen once in a while.

Technically, YES it's sufficient ground for refusal. However, it's not checked so often but why do you want to take the risk?
