Can you extend a BWOP?

Given the rate that OPNP PR applications are being delayed, I'm worried about not getting PR by the time my current bridging open work permit expires mid next year. Is there any way to extend a BWOP? I was issued a 1 year PGWP after which I extended it with a subsequent 1 year BWOP...

Did you ever get a solution for this? I'm in the same situation as you were and looking for an answer on extending my BOWP.
