Hello everyone,

My OINP - Job Offer: International Student application got approved today 29 March 2021. I submitted my application on Nov 30, 2020.
From the time I have submitted my application, I have switched to another company in Oakville. Do I need to update my application before I can proceed for PR? If so how can I update my application to add the recent job?
For the Police Certificates, do I need to get the certificate from my home country again? When I came to Canada as a student in 2018 I already submitted my police certificate from my home country.

Thanks for the help

You must work for the employer that gave job approval letter, if you switch the job , you must get new nomination in order to apply for PR

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply.
So I can not update my application, I have to start from zero again?
If my previous employer does not inform the government about my job change, will I be able to continue with my PR application?

If your previous employer does not inform CIC than if nobody knows nothing that should be fine, but CIC can call your previous employer any time to ask whether you stil working there or not. Are you on PGWP or you got new work permit?

I am currently in PGWP and it will expire on June 2023. I am thinking should I take that risk or just wait to get into Experience Class when I have one year of experience in June 2021.

I am also applying for PR through student category, I already sent my PR application 6 months ago, I really want to change my job, but I can’t until recive PR.
you can just ask your new employer to make you new job offer letter, it will take 4 weeks. And than you can apply forPR without any risk

I am already working in the new company for a month, I should be able to arrange all the documents needed, but will the government accept it or just cancel my application? I am confused about that part.

If you get new nomination they have to accept it. You better call to the office that nominated you, and ask them hat should you do

Hi @prith, Were you able to sort out your situation ? I'm currently in the same situation as you were before.
Hi Proceso, my OINP was canceled. According to the rules, if the applicant switch job after applying, the application will be revoked.
I was able to apply for the experience class after 1 yr of work exp and got my PR last year in October.
