Can you apply for student visa in December for January intake ?

Hello everyone. I applied for visa on 10.12.19 and my orientation day is on 6.1.20. Will I get my visa before that ?

depends upon your application in any case there is a very low chance of getting approval before your orientation so i would suggest you contact your college and inform them about it

Have already informed them that I might not be able to attend the orientation day and they have no problem. But do embassy have any problem if you don't attend it ?

Naah dude. Its more like 90-10%. We will get our visa as long as you have applied under SDS just like me. Just contact your college and tell them you may not be able to attend orientation day.

No embassy doesn't care about that if your college is fine with you starting a few days late IRCC wont have any issues
