Can you apply for Sponsorship *right* after your wedding or do you need to wait?

Can we apply immediately after we married, or do we need to wait until we get our marriage certificate? (I heard that can take up to 3 months to arrive) Also...if we have to wait until we get our marriage certificate, would I be able to get an extension as I wait? My wedding will be in Mid December, and I must leave Canada by December 31st.

Yes, you must have your marriage certificate. You can apply for an extension.
