Can we use our citizenship application (online) photos for passport application (mail)?

They were taken in mid-May 2023 and we still have the printed photos because we only had to upload digital copies in our online citizenship application. Are we required to take new pictures instead?

Citizenship photos do not use the same specifications as passport photos.
