Can we travel out of India while your pr file is inprogress

My PR spouse's case for Canada is in progress, my medical and biometrics was updated 1 month ago and now the status of my file is In progress, So can I travel from India to Australia for a few days to attend the birthday party of my sister's baby girl? It will affect the processing time of my case or not? should I inform IRCC by raising the web form? Please guide me its a good decision or not. Thanks
