Can we speed up sponsorship process if we have a reason.

This is for one of relative.
1. Husband, wife and three kids move to Canada two years ago.
2. Wife went to see her very ill mom for a couple of days back home.
3. Wife died in a car accident back home.
4. 3 kids ( 5 years, 3.5 years and 2 years) are with father and other family members in Canada.
5. Got married 3 months ago so that some one must be there to take care of kids while he can work full time.
6. Wants his wife to come as soon as possible to take care of kids.
7. At the moment, kids are with dad, uncle, aunts and their kids.
8. Send his sponsorship application to Mississauga office nearly a months ago.
9. Wrote to local MP but MP said that they have no such authority to ask CIC to speed up the process.

Should he write to Mississauga office or should wait and once, his application moved to London or Islamabad office, then he can request the visa officer to consider his case on priority bases as for a father to take care of three kids and then working for living is not an easy task.

Any advice to speed up the process will be highly appreciated.
Regards.

He'll have to wait. There's no way to speed up the process.

It's a sad story, and I'm sorry to hear that his wife passed, but unfortunately SchnookoLoly is correct. There is no way to speed up an application - there are likely hundreds if not thousands of other people in similar situations, and they all have to follow the same process. They will not make special exceptions for some applications but not others - this way it is fair to everyone who is waiting.

I think the only way a process can be speeded up is when the country of the sponsored person goes into war or something like that :( but again it would apply to all applicants from that country.

Do you have anything that would support that? I would expect the opposite, war would bring extra scrutiny and the ability to get information from governments would be severely impacted.

I hope that is not the main reason why he got married to his wife. Otherwise it just sounds like he wants a full-time live-in nanny. And I'm not sure CIC will be satisfied with just that reason either.

CIC will prioritize applicants in hazardous situations. It happened after the Nepal earthquake and the typhoon in the Philippines. I think applicants from Syria are also prioritized because of all the conflicts.

That's a good point. If this comes through in the application, CIC will possibly look at it closely for signs of this being a relationship of convenience. It's not obvious how a "normal" courtship (suitably defined with respect to the unspecified cultural norms) would have happened with the father in Canada and only a widower for less than two years.
