Hi,

I was wondering if I can scan the printout photo (35 x 45 mm) and upload it for BOWP application, is it going to be acceptable? or does it have to be a digital copy?

Please advise. Thanks !

Hi arorkoma,

thanks for your reply. Can you please explain how did you scan it? I mean do we have to make sure that it meets certain criteria for ex. pixels, size, type of file etc?

Please reply. Thanks !

I scan my photo sent along with my application for CEC, I chose the highest pixel in my scanner but to be honest I couldn't even tell the difference. My application got approved. I don't know exactly why they need the photo in the first place though.

CIC recently changed its "photo specification article". But before they mentioned that if you scan your photo than the scan must be done at least in 600 dpi. So the specifications of the photo I sent with my application where 600 dpi, 35 mm x 45 mm (around 840 x 1080 in pixels).

Thanks everyone for your replies !

i took a selfie with my cell and send it for BOWP and it got approved :). I used the same picture (selfie) for my last 2 closed WP with no problems so it's not a big deal...

Good Luck!

Thanks Mihais !
