Hi Guys,

I had applied in 2016 October under SPP category. My visa got rejected and due to personal reason, could not apply in 2017. I am planning to apply for January 2018 intake (GIC amount still there in Scotia account) and my consultant told me that I can reapply under SPP category since it has been an year.

Question :

1. Previously once my visa rejected under SPP category. Can I reapply under SPP category ?
2. What is overall score and each band score for GENERAL category?
3. Is there any mail Id to contact cic for study visa enquiry?

Hi
Post your full profile and refusal reasons in detail.

1. Its not possible to apply under SPP a second time, under any circumstances.
2. IELTS score remains same in both SPP and GENERIC/GENERAL.
3. I have no idea about that, google it.

Thanks GABA.

I applied Canada Study Visa (SPP) on Nov 6th 2016 and got refusal on Nov 26th 2016.
Work Exp: 2 Years
Bachelors from India:Bcom=62.5%
12th=53.30%
10th=79.68%
IELTS:6
GIC: Paid + 1st Semester Fees: Paid + Education Loan Sanction Letter ($22000)+ Deposit in Account=$6000
Course Applied - Financial Planning and Wealth Management from Lambton College

Refusal Reason : IELTS overall score 6 but one of the band score was 5 and for SPP category minimum on each band is 5.5 and other reason I had not mentioned proper carrier plan.

I have retaken IELTS and got overall score as 6.5 (S: 7, R:6, L:6.5 and W:5.5 ) I am thinking to put writing component for revaluation. I will be applying for Jan intake.My consultant told me that I can apply under SPP as it's been more than year. I was confused here. If I am applying for General, is this score ok ?

Honestly saying, i think you should retake IELTS and improve your writing module.
Its very hard to get visa without 6.5(with no less than 6.0).
Applying in general category has nothing to do with visa success.
So, its good to go with general category too.
Improve your ielts and apply with general, you'll get visa.
Clear all the things about your career/future plan, etc in your SOP.

First of all you can't apply again in SPP once you rejected. Secondly, now your IELTS score looks good. Go ahead and lodge you file. Explain each and everything in your SOP that why you were rejected before, why you took time to relodging it.
The only thing matter now is SOP. So be prepare to make it more attractive and good for the reason.
Best of Luck

Nothing matter if you got admission through this band tyen definately there were not any problem unless arise of other than that reason. Bother to argue you but it is truth

Get rid of your consultant - he doesn't know what he's doing. You can never apply under SPP again.

2016 - I applied through consultant. 2017 - I am planning on my own to apply, still not decided yet.
I see. As you already have a rejection i will suggest you to apply for CAIPS notes and then make sure you explain the reasons for previous rejection in your SOP.

Thanks Navprateek.

I got my caips notes reason mentioned as ( 1. Ielts score: one of the band score was 5 and 2. I had not mentioned proper carrier plans ) my consultant miss guided me on ielts score even though it is mentioned in cic website. They told me you got offer letter nothing to worry about score. I was just carried away :(.

So I don't want to repeat same mistake !!
