I'm from Hyderabad/India, and preparing to apply for NOC 6242 (Cook) in this July/2012.

Though I was ready with all my required papers to apply in Mar/2012 itself, very lately I found that my total required score was just short of 2 points, i.e. 65 overall in lieu of 67. My IELTS(GT) overall band was 6.5 (L:7, R:5.5, W:7, S:6.5) in this Jan, and the first two supposed to be 7.5 and 6.5 respectively to gain sufficient band & score.
I'm anyway writing IELTS again for higher band(s) in late June, which is not in my hand except trying hard - as my background is not more on education.

I have my Uncle (Mother's youngest brother, who is just around 2-year elder than me) residing in Edmonton (with PR status). He had sent me the requried Adaptability Documents, duly notarized by Alberta's MLA, which are supporting to my overall required score of 67 points.

Now the main question is - how to prove the relationship between my Mother and her youngest Brother, which should be acceptable for my PR processing --
  • My Mother does not have any valid proof recognizing her own brother, and neither my Uncle has any (as my grand parents did not register the birth details in their village in those days, way back to 1950 and 1966).
  • My Uncle has submitted an Affidavit as DoB while he was applying for PR, and now he has also given me a notary copy of his Driving License from Edmonton.
  • If my Mother gets an Affidavit as her DoB, can I produce the same with my application?
  • Does the Canada VISA officials recognize the affidavits? I cannot get a fake DoB from elsewhere locations, and I do not want to try too.

PS: My Mother is illiterate and do not have any of her school certificates. She has only her Ration Card, wherein her parents name was not indicated in it.

I'm planning to submit my application in early July/2012.

Guide me please...

I think affidavits are accepted.becoz one of the applicant has himself given notarised affidavit as proof for DOB and the case has been processesed sucessfully. Then logically it should be accepted.

Hello Carefor,

Did you submit 'Certificate of the Date of Birth' - (from CGI toronto) and the affidavit.

I'm planning to submit notorized copy of 'Certificate of the Date of Birth(from CGI toronto) and the affidavit.
Please let me know, if I can goahead with notorized copies...

Thanks
