Can we open a joint bank account in Canada

I am being sponsored by my spouse who currently is in Canada. Can we open a joint bank account in Canada while my immigration process is underway?

Likely not, because they will need your signature and proof of indentification (no photo copies). You will most likely need to be at the bank in person as well.
