He would never get insurance coverage for dialysis. You likely wouldn’t be able to import the fluid from out of Canada. You usually need routine monitoring when on dialysis and you also don’t seem to be even very familiar with the dialysis processes. On top of that your father has a good chance of needing a medical to get a visitor visa or could be stopped at the airport and sent home if it is discovered he is on dialysis and doesn’t have medical coverage. I would anticipate that this could cause medical issues if he flies to Canada gets detained by immigration and is sent home. These are a lot of risks to take for a visit. If he does need medical attention do you have 100K if he ends up in the hospital with an infection or other issue? My doctor told me that one can fly without issues provided the fluid is not in the belly. The exchange process can be done after you land. The supply is a question mark but I am sure there will be vendors locally in Canada and if not it can be imported. In Hong Kong 80% of the dialysis patients are on dialysis means there is ample options in the market to be explored. Someone told me the fluid is cheap from Germany, as low as $3 per liter (not confirmed) and you require about 1.5-2L at one time. Moreover, it's obvious that a treatment option done at home will definately be much cheaper compared to something done at the hospital. I seek information about the fluid though, would appreciate if someone shares his experience in Canada
