Can we ask them to return our passport?

hello,

This is an urgent question.

Applying for TRV from Pakistan. Already have F1 US student visa, going to study in canada for only 5 weeks.

1. How long can it take? website says 8 weeks but does it usually take longer?
2. If i need my passport in the middle for some emergency travelling, can i ask them to return it to me for that duration of travel or will they just hog my passport for the whole duration? What if it is an emergency.

normal they take 8 weeks to process,
if u wanna withdraw ur application, u can do so by mail them signed scanned letter of withdraw.
u must right ur date of birth and passport number as well.

CHC will send ur passprt back in 7 days

I think you can ask your PPs back without withdrawing the application..do you travel and resubmit the Pps...........i am not sure though

i think , u need to withdraw application, u can not as for just pps. but i m not sure abt this
