Can We apply for PR, while Visa extension by employer is in process ?

Hi,

Currently My work visa will going to experied on 23rd Feb 2019 and my company already submitted application for extension. I will get enough score(extimated score 454) to apply for PR by March first week. Is there any consiquences by applying PR while my VISA extension is in process i.e is it fine to process both VISA extension and PR parallelly?, Please advice best way to go ahead on this scenario. Please pardon me if any typos.

There are no restrictions on when you can and cannot apply for PR, provided you meet the requirements.
