Can Visitor apply for Open Work Permit ?

I am working in Canada on Work permit. I am staying with my wife and her status is Visitor. Can I apply Open Work Permit for her ?

Yes, she can (assuming you have all it takes). She has to apply for her own work permit.

No you can't have two status. In case she is given an WP she will change her status to Worker.
