Can two foreigners get same sex marry in Thailand?

Thailand will allow same sex marry in January next year, but how about for foreigners?
My same sex partner from Vietnam
I am Canadian citizen
we are planning getting marry and I will sponsor him to Canada

As noted, I'd just start to look around. The marriage regime for foreigners is fairly liberal, just the requirement for a 'no impediment to marriage' document that many countries require for foreigners getting married.

Whether this will be any different for same sex marriages - internet.
