Hi,

I came to Toronto on Feb 2015 and have been working here since. I am on a closed work permit tied to a profession and an employer. Came here on Intra Company transfer (ICT) visa. My status is still the same. Recently there have been some changes to the Express entry process and i have been told that if i get a valid job offer from my employer then i can secure 50 more points. The issue is that my employer is not very supportive on Express entry and so they will not give the job offer. However i do have the offer of employment with me which was submitted by the attorneys of my employer on my behalf for my work permit extension dated October 2016. It states the duration of my intended employment, role, my job code, my duties and responsibilities, my salary amount (there is no detailed break up). However, there is no condition of employment mentioned in this document (hours of work). However my employer provided me an employment letter for the purpose of Canada visa application dated December 2016 which has my role, duties, salary and it's breakup and conditions of employment like work hours. Can these both documents combined be used as Job offer?

You need a job offer for one year of duration after you receive your PR.

Sorry but this does not answer my question. The offer of employment states that the duration of employment would be 24 months. What i need to know is that the 2 documents i have combined can be used as a job offer

even if we assume you can use this letter, if cic verifies authenticity and purpose of the letter ( which in case you are submitting for PR and not for WP extension ) do you think your employer will provide support in that case. ?

I believe that you have everything to support your PR application. The last letter has Role, Duties, Salary and Conditions of Employment PLUS since you have been working in Toronto since Feb 2015, so you will have pay stubs, T4 and NOA for 2015 and YTD pay stubs for 2016. What is it that you are looking for?

I can open my company email and show them the email where these documents were given to me by the internal team and download them. That should be good enough proof right?

I am looking for a job offer which will give me 50 more points.
As per CIC, here are what qualifies as a job offer

"A job offer must be in writing, and must set out details of the job they are offering you, such as:

your pay and deductions
your job duties
conditions of employment, like your hours of work.

If you need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), you must include a copy of your job offer letter with your work permit application.

Note: An “offer of employment” is not the same as a “job offer letter.” If you are LMIA-exempt, your employer must submit your offer of employment to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The offer of employment explains why you do not need an LMIA."

I do not have all of these in one single document. Also not sure if the document i have is considered as offer of employment and thus its not valid as mentioned above.

There are few more points in same page.

Federal Skilled Workers and Canadian Experience Class
A valid job offer has to be:

made by one employer
for continuous, paid, full-time work (at least 30 hours a week),
for work that is:
for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
not seasonal
not on a contract basis, and
in a job that is Skill Type 0, or Skill Levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
and

C.you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:

  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for the employer(s) on your work permit who is making the offer and
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa.

In my case too I don't think my employer will give such a letter. I thought we can try to explain with the current work permit and the initial offer which is full time without any mention of 1 year after PR.

Not sure how much it will work but I do not have any option without employers support.
