My study permit was approved but I may get ITA in the next draw so I was wondering.....if I get an ITA which I accept and submit application for before leaving for canada on study permit, since the study permit is given at the border when one arrives in canada, can my study permit be refused at the border for reason of having immigration tendencies or having another immigration process going on in my name?

Thanks.

I don't think having an ITA or AOR cancels or affect your existing visas or permits. Personally, after AOR I travelled through Canada twice without issues. I had a temporary resident permit though, not a study permit

Yes the study permit part is tricky...

You wont have any problems unless you have issues with your study permit application itself. The ITA or AOR in itself does not constitute any rights or immigration privileges. if

Basically it comes down to proof of funds and approval of you study permit application. You won't have any issues at the border if these are established.

I forgot to mention that, you still have to " show intentions that you will leave Canada " if your residency application does not get approved. This is a big requirement for the study permit. They usually assess this in the application process at a visa office but border agents consider it too. As long as you prove ties to your home country, this will not be an issue at the border.

Good luck with everything.

Nah,it's not tricky !,don't mention it to them at point of entry. Once inside Canada send a message about status update in terms of change of address and change in present circumstances I.e schooling. Your file will be redirected.

Getting an ITA has nothing to do with your study permit. When you arrive in Canada you do not have to state that you have applied for EE, as you apply only when you file your complete application post ITA. Until you file your application, ITA has no relevance.
