Hi there, i have sponsored my spouse.

Just wanted to find out that upon entry into Canada of a sponsored Person, after what time frame or period can my spouse fly back to home country? Reason I ask is because my spouse is presently enrolled in a 2 year educational program and may enter Canada during the present 1st semester.

If you're applying from outside Canada, your spouse can leave any time, but there is no guarantee that they will be granted a visa to come back into Canada. If they are from a visa-free Country, there is no guarantee that they will be allowed into Canada either, if the IO isn't convinced that they won't overstay.

so if spouse enters Canada for the 1st time, and say stays for like 2 months, and then fly's back to home country, spouse cannot easily enter back into canada after 6 months or so? how come? would spouse then have to apply for new VISA and why?

need more clarifications pls, if you can point me to some Gov't links regarding this, would be greatly appreciated.

If your spouse already got his PR visa and entered Canada with it, he becomes a PR. He is free to leave Canada at any time after it, he can leave on the same day. When landing though, he has to give an address in Canada where CIC will mail his permanent resident card - he can give his relatives' address and they can send the PR card to him once it arrives (it's currently taking 8+ weeks after landing to get the PR card). With that card and of course his passport, he will be able to return to Canada.

Note that the PR status is valid for 5 years and he has to live in Canada for at least 2 years of every 5 years. So if he stays outside of Canada for more than 3 years at a time, then he will probably not be able to get his PR status renewed and would have to apply again.
