Can someone tell me how long you are given to send in your passport to Buffalo?

i am working on the passports for my kids and I am wondering how long they give you to actually send in your passport to Buffalo once they request it. 30 days, 60 days, 90 day? Thank you so much.

It should say in the letter when it has to be in to them, but it def has to be in a while before your medical expires.

We got our passport request today, and we just realized that the medical runs out in less than 2 weeks. The passport request (from Buffalo) states that we need to submit the passport ASAP, and that it will be returned within 3 weeks, but it has no reference at all to the medical.

I guess I just realized that I should ask...if the medical expires by the time we get the passport back, will instructions be provided prior to landing? Or if they say nothing, do we simply go ahead with landing and assume everything is going to be fine? Also, we will be married in 2 weeks (probably before we get the passport back)... so would we have to submit the change in status at that time as well? (Although the wedding date and an invitation were included in our application.) Our timeframes are just very close due to unforeseen events. The visitor's visa runs out on Sept.1 as well, so would we still have to apply for an extension if landing is not completed by that time? I'm hoping it will be, but it will be very close. I probably should have posted these questions in another thread, my apologies.

NO NO and NO lol.once your passport is in then let it be by the time you sent in info that you got married the passport would likely be already on its way back to you.And since they said 3 weeks the passport would still likely be back to you before you status expires. If they dont tell you to renew your medical then dont. They may just give you your passport back with a month expiry.
I would just wait to see how long it takes to get your passport back but if it seems its taking longer then send in your extension its only $75.The medical if they want a renewal they will inform you.
