everybody's cases are different from each other. so, we can not suggest that every VO will look at all the files in the same way. so, some people are lucky to get the visa soon. but that means not others need no much proofs. so anything what you have, its better to submit. but if somebody doesnt have, dont worry submit whatever you have, next time when you two get together, try to get enough pics. I also had the same problem with me. but when my husband came in this time i got enough pics when we went everywhere & with everybody we met who we know.
And also if you have documents in other language rather than in English or French, you must translate them to English. but its ok if those are emails, skype. because they dont need to know what we chat in skype. sometimes they may be personal. then how we show them to the others?
so, they need to know whether we had enough ongoing communications each other. so, if its in other language also they know you two has had communication with each other in every week or in everyday. so, dats enough.....
other relevant documents like birth, divorce, marriage, educational certificate must be translated into English if they are in other language rather than in English or French....

You need to refer to your country specific instructions to be 100% sure. Typically, you only need notarized letters if you're common-law. Even then only 2 letters must be notarized. Along the same lines, typically a married couple doesn't need any letters notarized and they don't have to include any letters, although many do.
However, you need to check your guide. The rules seem to vary a little here.
