What do you mean? In what context you are inquiring about these two terms?
Usually they both mean same.
Thanks Hammer for reply
I’m applying for tourist visa and I saw these two term at cic website and got confused as both seems same to me , if there are same then why two terms are being coined and what category do I apply from

Hi

Temporary resident permit would be Study permit or work permit.

1. A TRP (Temporary Resident Permit) is not study or work permit, it is for persons who are inadmissible to Canada as visitor.
2/ Persons who are not inadmissible are issued TRV (Temporary Resident Visa) is for visitors/worker/students who require a visitor visa to enter Canada.
