Hi, I am in an emergency situation - have some trips lined up - so was wondering if anyone here was given an extension in the deadline by CIC to submit their passport for PR visa stamping?
1. Yes, they will extend if it is a reasonable request and your COPR won't expire.cupcakes said:Hi, I am in an emergency situation - have some trips lined up - so was wondering if anyone here was given an extension in the deadline by CIC to submit their passport for PR visa stamping?
Hi cupcakes, I am in a similar situation where my travel plans might overlap with the 30 days deadline for the PPR. Could you brief with the kind of details you provided to CIC for getting a 30 day extension? And how long did you wait for a revert? What was your experience like?cupcakes said:Yes - as long as you provide sufficient evidence (scans etc) via email. I was given a 30 day extension myself.
Hi trix0000, I am in a similar situation where my travel plans might overlap with the 30 days deadline for the PPR. Did you get an extension for PPR submission? And how long did you wait for a revert from CIC on your query? What was your experience like? Kindly help.trix0000 said:I have the same situation. I got a letter first week of July 2015 asking me to submit my passport with 30 days. I have a business travel scheduled for the month of August and cannot submit my passport. I sent them an email asking if I can extend the submission of passport to Sept 2015 but have not received a reply yet. My travel is coming up soon and have not received a reply and 30 day deadline is coming up soon. Is it possible to extend? My passport expires 2018 and deadline to enter canada is June 2016.
