It matters if it happened within or outside Canada.

In this case, you can claim years of experience assuming all of this was paid work experience under NOC 0/A/B acquired within the last 10 years.

I am also in a similar situation, where I took a break from my post graduate studies and worked as an intern outside of Canada. Although you answered this question positively, I just wanted to be double sure before I go ahead and apply. Was wondering if you know of anyone whos application was accepted in such a case.
