Can online status of application be changed?

The online status of my application says IN PROCESS. Now is there a way to be updated if there is a change in status. Like being notified by email online or something which would inform me when the interview call would be sent out? Or when they would ask for my documents? I did not need to submit any documents when I submitted my application.

I know in some sites like the one for USCIS, one can be notified through email every time something changes. Is this in CIC site also by any chance?

I guess there is no option, the only way is to check by Status change, Email and Post.

No, it gathers information from the CIC site - you could PM matthewc with questions or ask others who are using it.

Yes, it has been really useful to me and many others here.

Send matthewc a PM about your concerns or read his posts here in the forum. (search them via his profile).
You have a right to your opinion, nobody is being forced to use the site. IMO it is worth the minimal risk.

There are a lot of people using the system, it is a personal choice to use the site or not.
Yes it is a trade off, but I have never seen reports of data being stolen or misused by matthewc, lets face it, if it had happened, the complaints would be everywhere.

Most people log in to eCas all the time, which as you know can be pretty disappointing.
If you use the tracker then you can get on with life and let the tracker do the job, time will pass a lot faster

i use the E-cas tracker myself and it is very effective... no issues at all

i also have a cousin (who introduced me to it) who has landed in canada and used it too....

but the choice is yours
